Today's Theme: Pride
We have been humbled as a nation. There are more questions than answers. More things we don't know than we know. But we know this - we are literally being brought to our knees by a virus. In many ways our nation has not put God first - but if we are honest - neither have we. Pride can be a very real issue in OUR lives, but we have the power to overcome it through Jesus. A humbling brings humility which is a true gift from God.
Today's Scripture: Proverbs 11:2
"When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom."
Today's Prayer
"Father God, I come to You in the name of Jesus. I know that pride only keeps me from You. I put down anything that would cause me to have pride in my heart in dealing with issues or other people in my life. Pride puts me in the wrong place - the place of rulership - which only You deserve in my life and in our nation and world. Help me to prioritize others over myself. I ask you God, to remind me daily that true humility is not thinking less of myself, it's thinking of myself less - much less. I humble myself before You and come to you like a child. Forgive me for my sin of pride. Heal me, our nation, and the world. We need your wisdom above anything else. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

One of the best ways to humble ourselves is to mix prayer with fasting.
