WE'RE SAVING YOU A SEAT THIS SUNDAY AT 9:30AM & 11AM

We keep our mission in everything we do so we can have the biggest impact possible. Everything we do as a church is filtered through our mission to help people live the full life for which God created them.

Beliefs
KNOW GOD
WEEKEND SERVICES

God wants us to know Him personally. More than religion, God wants relationship. Our weekend services are focused on that relationship.  We do our best to communicate on Sunday in a clear way what it means to live in a relationship with God all week long.

FIND FREEDOM
SMALL GROUPS

God desires unity in His family. Connecting with people in Small Groups is a practical and fun way to find life-changing community. The spiritual journey God has for us was never meant to be taken alone. Real freedom from sin, guilt, worry, anxiety is all found in relationships.

DISCOVER PURPOSE
GROWTH TRACK

God’s ultimate goal for you is to reach your full potential in Him. Discover how your life was intentionally designed to contribute to the world what only you can. Over three sessions, we take you on a journey of discovering who we are as a church family and your unique place in it.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE
SERVE TEAMS

It's not just enough to know your special gifts and sphere of influence, you need to act. As a community of faith, we love our neighbors  through what we call Serve Teams. When you get on a Serve Team and make a difference in Jesus' name, you will experience true joy.

FAQ

  • Is there a program for my teenage children?
Yes. Our youth group has their primary gathering on Wednesday's at 7pm in the Youth Center. Wednesday night program includes a large group time with a lesson, small group breakout sessions to dive further into the lesson, as well as casual time of playing games, eating snacks and hanging out with friends. Middle School and High School students start the evenings together and then separate for small groups. Lastly, the youth group has scheduled activities about once a month to encourage relationship building as well as service for other members of our church. Some activities combine Middle School and High School while others do not. You can head over to the staff page to see Jimmy Black, the Youth Pastor, read a little bit about him, or send him a message with any further questions at jblack@cantonnazarene.com
  • What is the kid's ministry like?
Environments: Nursery Birth through 3 Years Old Our nursery rooms are cleaned every week, staffed with multiple volunteers, and prepared with age-appropriate toys for your kids to enjoy. Preschool 4 Years Old through Kindergarten In our preschool rooms, children learn the Bible through age-appropriate activities like stories, crafts, and Bible action songs that reinforce Bible truths. They are also given the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with their friends and teachers in small groups. Elementary 1st through 5th Grades Our worship hour is designed to present the love of Jesus to elementary kids in a way that is exciting and makes sense to them. We believe parents and the church partner together for the spiritual development of our children. Every week, they get to play games, experience dynamic worship, work on a Bible memory verse, learn an interesting object lesson, and receive prayer and make friends in a small group. We also give them a take-home devotional, which you can work through as a family during the week. You can head over to the staff page to see Josh Potts, our Children's Pastor, read a little bit about him, or send him a message with any further questions by clicking the "mail" icon under his picture.
  • Is there a check-in system for my kids?
Yes. The safety and security of your child is of top priority for us. Our check-in station volunteers are friendly and firm, ensuring a welcoming environment in which children are dropped off and picked up only by authorized adults. We have photo identification for regular attenders.
  • What is the music like?
Our goal is to do everything with excellence. We seek for our music to be God-honoring, true to the Bible, true to life, and engaging. We believe that the heart of worship is more important than any one person's music preference. Below is a link to our Spotify playlist for worship songs.
  • What do people wear?
At Canton Nazarene we like to celebrate the differences between us just as much as what we have in common. Wear what makes you comfortable. If you come business casual or in a tshirt and jeans, you will be right at home!
  • What time should I arrive?
While we certainly won't turn you away for showing up after service has begun, it's best to arrive early enough to meet someone from our Host Team, check-in your kids if you have any, and maybe stop by the café for a drink (free for first time guests). Sunday morning worship begins at 9:30am & 11am and typically concludeds in an hour.
  • How can I get involved?
There are always ways that visitors and new attendees can participate through worshipping with us. Praying, singing, and giving are all ways that we worship during a weekend service and those methods of worship are open to anybody! The first step to getting more involved with Canton Nazarene is to attend Growth Track. Most of the year we host Growth Track classes immediatly following the Sunday morning service. Through this 3-step program, you can learn what we believe, a little bit of our church history and where we are going, discover how God has specially equipped you to serve in a particular role within a body of faith, and get a look at our Small Groups and Serve Teams If you want to take the next steps of baptism, membership, joing a Small Group or a Serve Team, Growth Track is how you would pursue it.
